Timers

Countdowns shown by the Streamer.Bot triggers you pick, e.g. when a viewer redeems "mute the streamer for 5 minutes".

Shows countdowns on screen. Each timer in your list has its own time, picture and text, and starts when one of its Show triggers fires — a channel point reward along the lines of "mute the streamer for 5 minutes", a command, a hotkey. Its Hide triggers stop it before the end.

Platforms: Twitch, YouTube, Kick, and the integrations switched on in Connection — whatever your triggers come from

Action pack: Stream UI - Get Profile Pic for viewer pictures on Twitch, Stream UI - Broadcast for the manual controls. See Who needs what.

How it works

  • One countdown per timer. A Show trigger starts the timer; if it is already on screen, it starts again from its full time. When the time runs out, it leaves.
  • Stopped early. A Hide trigger — or the Hide button — takes it off before the end.
  • The viewer's picture. With Use viewer profile picture, the timer shows the picture of whoever set off its Show trigger: the viewer who redeemed the reward. Without one (a hotkey, the Show button), it shows your uploaded image, else a stopwatch.
  • Each overlay counts on its own. Nothing is saved: a browser source that loads while a timer runs does not show it.
  • Show it in one overlay if you want one countdown on screen; each overlay showing the widget shows its own.

The page

The widget's page works like a small app:

  • Settings, Style and Controls, the tabs over the editor, switch what it shows.
  • Timer list, the column on the left: your timers, each with its time under its name. Click one to edit it. Drag a row by its handle to reorder; its switch turns the timer off (its triggers and buttons then do nothing); its menu duplicates or deletes it. Add timer adds one.
  • The main area: the picked timer's settings, or its buttons on the Controls tab.
  • Widget preview, the panel against the window's right edge: the preview, a Show and Hide test button per timer (in a tab per timer), and the widget's own URL. The arrow at the top folds it to a slim rail. Drag its left edge to widen it, up to half the window; it keeps its width. Widget shows the widget in its position, cut from the canvas as your browser source draws it; On canvas, the whole canvas.

How to set it up

Make your timers

In Timer list, pick the default Streamer muted timer or add new ones. Set its Minutes and Seconds, and what it shows.

Pick what shows and hides it

On the Controls tab, pick the timer, then Show in the Controls column, and Add trigger in Trigger list — the reward that mutes you, for example. Add Hide triggers if something should stop it early.

Update your browser source

Copy the overlay URL again into your browser source → Layout and browser source.

Timer settings

Text templateemptyThat text; empty shows the timer's name. It can use the variables of the Show trigger's payload, e.g. {user.name} for the viewer who redeemed the reward (read them in the event inspector); without a payload (the Show button) they are left out. Only when Show text is on.

Its triggers are on the Controls tab → Controls.

Style

Each element follows the overlay style until you change one of its fields. On the Style tab, the Styles column takes the place of the timer list (styles apply to every timer): pick an element there to style it in the main area, highlighted on the preview; Text opens a column of its two texts. An element no timer shows (its Show switch off on every timer) is not listed. See Appearance.
