Polls & Predictions

Live Twitch polls and predictions, and YouTube polls, with vote bars and a highlighted winner.

Shows your polls and predictions while they run: vote bars moving live, a countdown on Twitch, and the winner highlighted at the end. A Twitch poll, a Twitch prediction and a YouTube poll each get their own card, and can show at the same time.

Platforms: Twitch, YouTube

Action pack: not needed to show polls. Stream UI - Sounds plays sound files once a Play … sounds switch is on. Stream UI - Backend keeps the pause → Pause and resume. → Who needs what

The page

The widget's page works like a small app:

  • Settings, Style and Controls, the tabs over the editor, switch what it shows.
  • The Settings tab holds every setting in the main area, in three parts: Display settings, Labels and Sound. On the Controls tab, Pause and Resume and their triggers → Pause and resume.
  • Widget preview, the panel against the window's right edge: the preview, the test buttons and the widget's own URL. The arrow at the top folds it to a slim rail. Drag its left edge to widen it, up to half the window; it keeps its width. Widget shows the widget in its position, cut from the canvas as your browser source draws it; On canvas, the whole canvas.

Sound

Under Twitch, Play poll sounds and Play prediction sounds; under YouTube, Play poll sounds. Each switch (off by default) is listed while its kind is shown, and adds its triggers' Sounds list: one row per trigger, each with its own sound button. It opens the Twitch poll sound, Twitch prediction sound or YouTube poll sound window: a file on your PC, a random file from a folder, or a link → Sounds.

Twitch predictionsTwitch.PredictionCreated, Twitch.PredictionUpdated, Twitch.PredictionLocked, Twitch.PredictionCompleted, Twitch.PredictionCanceled

A sound plays only while that kind's card is shown, from the overlay that runs the actions. The Updated triggers fire at every vote: leave them silent unless you want a sound per vote.

Style

Twitch's and YouTube's cards can each have their own look: pick the platform in Style for, beside the Global styles / Custom switch.

Pause and resume

While paused, the widget shows nothing: the cards on screen leave at once, and new polls and predictions are ignored until you resume.

On the widget page's Controls tab:

  • Controls, the column on the left, lists Pause and Resume, each with the names of its triggers. Pick one to see its triggers in Trigger list, beside it.
  • Trigger list: the Streamer.Bot triggers that do it. Add trigger adds one, conditions included → Triggers and conditions.
    • Pause — default: Twitch Stream Offline.
    • Resume — default: Twitch Stream Online.
  • The main area shows Polls & Predictions: Running or Paused, with the buttons Resume and Pause, also in the controls window.

The state is kept in Streamer.Bot, in the persisted global streamUi.off.polls (1: paused; 0 or none: running), so it lasts until you resume, even if the browser source reloads, and every overlay follows it at once. Your own actions can pause or resume the widget too, with a Global (Set) sub-action on that variable. The buttons and triggers need Stream UI - Backend.
